The lessons that one learns while engaged in the process of work are truly wonderful and life affirming. We are blessed this week with a quick recovery, so far at least, from a nasty spot of data corruption in the db that holds our content management system. This db also contains a good part of our content and things like user names, passwords, and session information. We were faced with the terrible thought of having to redo most of our site from scratch, and the prospect of making all our users have to re- register, but thanks to the wonderful program called phpMyAdmin (a db administration tool) we were able to simply delete the corrupted data and restore our site. We are not sure what exactly caused the original corruption. It may have had something to do with a server reboot but we are not sure and don’t wish to blame anyone but ourselves for not backing up properly. The important thing is that it happened and we recovered. The lessons we learned were as follows:
1. Always back up your database. Never put it off. Just do it or else you might be sorry.
2. Sometimes it is best to go away for the weekend and relax.
3. Remember the users and they will remember you. Make as much effort as possible to keep them informed and participating. This is most especially true in an emergency.
4. Sometimes the best thing to do is to try and help others because life becomes much simpler and less overwhelming when you are able to say, “ how can I be of help right now?” instead of “ why is my life so crappy?”
5. Modern civilization is horrible and one has to find some way (see number 4 above) to cope.
6. We love our website
We believe these valuable lessons were learned together. The whole spirit of the Internet and the mysterious world combined with the support of our users has proven the key that unlocks the door to job satisfaction and deeper knowledge. We humbly offer our ThankZ to you the user. May knowledge light your path and peace of mind be your constant guide.

OOoooooo We have some great updates for you this round. First of all we are most grateful for the new flash animation from our 15' friend Fomporolo. This animated story is called, The Fomp. It is a moving tale of rebirth and struggle. The main character is a person who uses wheels instead of feet. You are going to love this story.
The Fomp
In this edition of the Gornick report there is a bit of sports writing like none other you have read. Follow along with Gornick as he buys tickets from a scalper to a Sixers VS. Nicks game at The Garden. It is titled, "If you focus you can make The Answer do anything" Also this month is a strange Gornick story known as " Camouflage is a color that runs ".
We hope you find inspiration in these most creative updates.
